Credit reporting agencies track your credit history. They use your credit history to form your credit report. Your credit report is used to decide if you will be a good credit risk.

Review your credit report every year to be sure the information is correct. Mistakes can ruin your chances of getting credit, and may even prevent you from getting a job or a place to live.
